A Brighter Christmas
Charity League's Brighter Christmas mission is to provide gifts for the roughly 500 children in the Martinsville and Henry County area who are ineligible to benefit from other programs. Brighter Christmas began in 2013, after the League learned that children over the age of 10 were no longer eligible for the Salvation Army Angel Tree program. Christmas Cheer allowed the children to stay in the program only until age 12. Last year, the Charity League was able to work closely with area high schools and raised enough funds to provide 94 children with gifts. HOW CAN YOU HELP? We will be fundraising for Brighter Christmas until December 1, 2015.
